Tell me about your weekend. Go.
My weekend was fun because I got to represent the school and play at a Rockhurst chess tournament. At this chess tournament I went with 2 wins and 4 losses which allowed me to qualify for state. I also watched as my friend Ben went and placed 19th in the tournament which is awesome! Afterward, I got to hang with my other friend Dean and we got to have a sleepover. We talked a lot and played video games like Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 2. The next day, we went to my house and played more games. Once he left, I made pasta for myself and worked on AP Human Geography and Honors ELA homework.

Kids these days are so immature because of there gizmos and gadgets no one gives a crud about. Back in my day, I would be outside on my bike but electronics have corrupted the new generations. For peat sake's, the day I get my kid of a phone is the day I meet a angel. Those gizmos and gadgets ain't nothing but trouble. I know that there are to many gadgets like those I phones and I pads. I'm surprised that we still have war with nuclear missiles everywhere.I hope i'm dead by the time those things go of on my house. Why has this society been so STUPID! We are eons behind future medicine because of these dumb gizmos and gadgets. Oh and also I am sick of seeing my kid stare at a dumb box with that "enjoyment" they crave. They are frying there brains! So, yes I very much dislike the future.

What do you find the most confusing and frustrating part of web design and HTML code so far? What would make it easier? What don't you understand? What do you understand? Explain yourself.
The most confusing thing that has happened in this class so far is definitely the website we started yesterday. I was lost and behind because my computer didn't have Google Drive downloaded. Finally, when I figured out how to download Google Drive I was behind because everyone was getting instructions while I was on the first step. I asked my side partner for help and he helped me catch up but I still got confused with instructions so I had to stay after school to catch up. It would have been easier if instructions were said slower and the teacher made sure everyone was on the same page. What I understood was most of the instructions the last 1/4 of the instructions I did not comprehend. I didn't know how to make multiple pages for the new web site which made me fall behind.

Tell me all about your 3 day weekend! Share photos.
My weekend was packed with activities because of camping, hanging with friends, and homework. On Friday night, I went camping; it was a 3 hour drive with other scouts in the car. We stopped several times for food and gas on are way to the campsite. When we arrived the temperatures got really cold but on Saturday the weather heated up for the day. During the day, I walked around the camp area with some other scouts and saw many people trading items. I helped my friend trade for stuff and then saw a blacksmith make a knife from scratch. I bought that knife and sharpened it back at camp with a sharpening stone. On Sunday morning, I went back home and hung out with friends. We went bowling and I made several spares and afterward we played football. That night I had a sleepover with my friend Dean and the next day worked on homework. I also had Clarinet lessons Monday that I went to and practiced playing the Clarinet. This was my fun filled weekend!

Tell me a little bit about yourself and your life here at BVHS. What activities or clubs are you involved in? What year are you in school? What is your favorite class and/or teacher so far this year? What are you looking forward to this school year? Include some original photos from your phone if you can.
My life here at BVHS is great because I am actively involved in four different clubs and am a current 9th grader. The first club that I am involved in is a club I created called Spanish Club. I am the current president of this club and my club is doing a fund raiser at Barnes and Nobles next weekend. The second club I am involved in is Jewish Student Union. In this club, we do community service and eat awesome food each meeting. The third club I am involved in is Chess club. I have been to two chess tournaments and had a great time playing new opponents. The last club that I am vice president of is Pokemon Club. This club plays the pokemon trading card game and the video game and goes to Collectors Cache on Sundays. My favorite class in school is AP Human Geography and my favorite teacher so far is Senor Dean. I am looking forward to a great semester learning new materials in different classes.

What are your thoughts on this class so far? Easy? Hard? Informative? Frustrating? What have you learned so far? What do you want to learn? Explain yourself
My thoughts on the class so far is that it is pretty informative because of all the different coding symbols. I have learned some basics to coding things like text to a website. I also have learned how to code peoples names onto my blogger dashboard. What I want to learn is more coding because it is extremely useful and very fun. I am looking forward to another great semester taught by Mrs. Scheuerman!
